WIER: Wage Index Expert Review
R-C Healthcare Management has taken the Medicare wage index improvement process to a new level with its Wage Index Expert Review (WIER). This program provides an on-site, detailed review of all of the source data that contributed to a participating hospital’s Worksheet S-3, Parts II and III. Every line item on the S-3 is traced back to its source data for verification and reconciliation. In addition to the scrutiny and verification of the source data, the review also includes:

	An in-depth review of hospital books and documents to determine if additional items should be included or modified in order to generate increased reimbursement dollars
	Preparation of the S-3 refiling
	Follow-up of the resubmission through the hospital’s fiscal intermediary and CMS as needed
	Preparation of a report on the results of the WIER for the hospital

Our teams of experienced wage index experts work in partnership with each hospital’s CFO, payroll, personnel, reimbursement and nursing service departments to ensure the accuracy and optimization of all data included in the S-3. We provide an exemplary level of service within a very efficient timeframe, with most on-site visits lasting no more than 1 or 2 days depending upon the size of the hospital and the availability of the data and personnel.
