Occupational Mix Survey Review

The Occupational Mix Survey is required by CMS every three years to make adjustments to the Medicare wage index and is required of all hospitals subject to IPPS. The salary data examined is for a calendar year and will affect the wage index over a three-year period. The Occupational Mix Survey reporting will significantly influence two-thirds of all the payments for PPS hospitals and other types of health care providers. With increasing Medicare shortfalls, every hospital needs to make sure their data is up-to-date and accurate.

R-C Healthcare Has worked with hospital clients on the Occupational Mix Survey since its inception. We have worked with hospital associations, systems and individual facilities to accurately complete their surveys.
